Peach TreesWhen I think of you I see peach trees

Beneath them I lie

Waiting, aching

All I have are a few small memories

Alll I have is you, grinning at me

All I have is you, paralyzed

As I hug you goodbye

All I have is me, crying on that long bus ride

But I couldn't figure out why

At the time. When I think of you I see peach trees

I can see the sun between its green leaves

Golden rays like your hair, like your stare

All I have now is my heart thudding in my ears

A dull ache, similar to heartbreak,

The sound is like those peaches hitting the ground

Next to my head

All I have now are fantasies of you in my bed

All I have now is wishing I'd asked you to spend the night with me instead

Beneath the peach trees.

When I think of you I see peach trees

I dont want to wait anymore

All I have now are stretched out days, alone

They wash away the memories, the fantasies

Until they're all just torturous dreams

All I have now are rotting peaches

The bright orange turns brown

All I have now are my tears staining the muddy ground

How could you keep me waiting here?

All I have is me, just me,

Crumpled beneath this dying peach tree. - Dana Espinosa.
