My mother

used to always say, in times of frustration "heaven above me" and I always thought nothing of it, in spite of it being such a common phrase of hers. Then one day a few years ago, I frustrated myself, found myself saying the same thing. I find myself thinking it now with each stroke of this stuck "G" key. And now, even here I appreciate the monumental simplicity of it; simply to say it is to acknowledge the divine, the wickedness, and the human juxtaposition thereof. Whatever, it is a nice day, and to hell with the storm that's coming in. I'll be across the street with the devil, heaven, and the chlorinated water above me!
